This section is devoted to a series of subjects, motifs and themes which stand out as potentially homoerotic in meaning. To my mind, the following paradigms are diachronically recurrent across the selection of Hopkins’s poems for this paper and could at least legitimise the possibility of Hopkins’s poetic homoeroticism..
